At a glittering function held in Chennai yesterday, the Advertising Club Madras presented the second Daily Thanthi Tamizh Advertising Awards before a distinguished gathering from the world of Advertising and Media. Both JWT and O&M swept the Awards in most categories, with the former walking away with the coveted “Sakalakala vallavan” Award ( Agency of the Year ) presented by Club President Mr.R.Seshadri.
The Club had earlier received around 300 entries from 37 organisations representing 27 cateogories including Print, TV, Radio, Outdoor, etc. which were adjudged by an eminent panel of Jury. A tribute to Mr.S.R. (Mani) Ayer, former CEO of O&M who passed away recently in Chennai was presented in the form of a short Audio-Visual.
